Norman Lamb is a former employment Solicitor who challenged the Ministry of Defence for dismissing pregnant women from the Armed Forces. Furthermore, he has published multiple Employment Law books and was the chairman of Norwich City Council.

Norman was elected in 2001 as the MP for North Norfolk and continues to hold this position today. Formally, he was the Health Minister during the coalition and currently is the chair of the Science and Technology Committee.
